Culture Corner October 2021 - Outsource Access
Culture Corner Feb

Culture Differences: How is our Halloween different from our team members in the Philippines? As we celebrate with our pumpkin decorations, trick or treats, scary costumes, and street parties, our friends across the pond celebrate this special occasion by visiting the cemetery with their families to remember our departed ones.

The Philippines, being colonized by the Spanish for hundreds of years, have adapted their beliefs and traditions. One of those beliefs is that the departed loved ones come to visit the living once a year. This event is called the All Souls Day (November 2), but relatives start setting up tents on October 31 and staying in the cemetery with the whole family to share food and drinks until All Souls Day is over.

See how the Philippines cemetery transforms into a Park full of people remembering the departed in the photos below.

Happy Hour

OAHH or Outsource Access Happy Hour is a monthly tradition at Outsource Access where all of our employees unleash their creativity for the day. Each month a theme is decided and everyone gears up for an hour of games and fun activities. OAHH is an ice breaker that everyone looks forward to.

What is this month’s theme? See the photos below to find out. I now know for sure that there is no shortage of talent here.

Mental health

In Search of (ISOF)

It is a program created to provide an avenue for awareness, learning, self-enhancement, and skill development. The program’s objective is to shape the people working in the company to grow personally and professionally.

For the month of October we will continue to focus on Intentional Happiness and Well-being. With that being said our program for this month is about taking care of our Mental Well-being. It’s been almost two years since the pandemic started and it hasn’t been the same since. For a lot of people it’s still a foreign idea to spend most of our time at home. It has affected us one way or another. During this time we have to take care of our Mental health just as much as our Physical health.

Noli, speaks about how he is able to regain control of his life working with Outsource Access.

“Working as a virtual assistant has made me aware of how important it is to understand the needs of the clients and maintain a long-term relationship with them. I have worked as a customer service representative for 3 years and working as a VA has given me a huge transition in life. I have more time with my family now while still able to earn a living. I have control over my calendar, I can avoid commuting and being exposed outside, I can wear whatever I want, and I am my own boss. I am happily supplying my client with my professional customer service and my trained knowledge on both online and E-commerce marketing.”
