Culture Corner June 2021 - Outsource Access
June-Culture-Corner

Welcome to the June 2021 edition of Culture Corner! Our organization prides itself on our commitment to our core values – one of them being ‘Everlong Quest for Improvement.’ We love supporting activities that will both strengthen and fuel our employees’ desire to be better. We talk about these activities and more as you read on.

Also in this edition, we feature one of the most beloved employees in our organization, not only because of his commitment to the company, but because he exudes continuous and contagious positive energy. How does he sustain this? Read on.

VA Give Back

Special Time for Special People

Schools for Children with Learning Disabilities in third world countries are scarce and financial support from the government is often too low for the schools to fully operate without the help of private organizations.

Earlier this year, our management team in the Philippines visited and extended help to a Special Education School in a nearby town. The smiles we received in return are heartwarming. View the video above to see this event.

State of the Company Address

State of the Company Address

On May 19th, we held our first State of the Company Address where we shared our company goals, achievements, and performance with all of our employees. This concept was a framework introduced to us by Entrepreneurial Operating System. This event was virtually attended by over 275 employees and recording was made available for those who were not able to make it. In our organization, we believe that visibility creates trust – it motivates us to work together towards a common goal. In effect, it increases employee retention and loyalty.

Outsource Access’s core focus is to help entrepreneurial businesses realize their potential, and this year’s theme is geared towards that – “Fanatical Customer Focus.” With our customer’ growth in mind, the departments worked together to produce training modules to enhance an already great customer experience. Team Leads are the first recipients of this training and will  be cascaded to the virtual assistants.

We also took the opportunity to recognize employees who have embodied our core values for the first quarter of 2021. See our G.R.E.A.T. Stars below.

Jeff the Host

Meet Jeff Robles. He is an Outsource Access team member who has an incredibly contagious positive energy that always puts a smile on everyone around him. It is no wonder why he is the designated host for every Outsource Access event. But that is not his only claim to fame. Jeff is inspiring in so many ways. Read on and you will learn why.

1. How long have you been in the Company
-I started out as a regular VA on February last year, 2020. Eventually, the internal team was opening a slot for a Training and Development Specialist, I took the opportunity and got onboarded as part of the internal team on September the same year.

2. What do you like most about working with OA?
-Aside from being able to take care of my old and disabled mother, I feel appreciated and heard. OA has such a young and dynamic culture, and that’s coming from everyone who is part of the company.

3. What inspires you to do what you do?
-I have always been intrigued and attracted to unknown ground. Although we are labeled as a BPO, our nature is actually quite unique. It’s new, and it’s thriving. I wanna explore it and contribute to it. Research and application is always exciting for me.

4. Do you ever get nervous when hosting an event?
-Here’s a little secret, I have hosted events big and small, near and far, intimate and grand, but even with that much experience, I still get the jitters. So what I do to calm the nerves is to imagine that I’m hosting a family event. To recall fond memories that I spent with loved ones and exert that emotion in the program. I want everyone to be close and feel that they belong, and I want to highlight the participants instead of myself.

5. How do you sustain your energy throughout a long event?
-Wow, ummm, so I have naturally been a battery since childhood, but I lean back to the thought of happiness. I want everyone to feel happy and I want them to be engaged. Let them feel the thrill of what’s in store. I can’t do that on an empty stomach, so I need to eat! Hahahaha but apart from that I like seeing people smile.

6. What do you look forward to?
-I look forward to grow, (no longer physically, please, geez I need to lose weight) grow in knowledge, skill, and career. I want to be able to help, and educate those who are curious. To let people realize that there is so much potential in the world and it’s all up to you to reach it! K.O.K.O! Keep On Keeping On!
